NEW! Think skiing is the only thing you can do at the Arrowhead Recreation Area in Claremont? Think again! You can get out your mountain bike or the ATV before the snow falls. And once the white stuff arrives in force, cross-country and downhill skiing are just two more options. You can also skate, go snowshoeing, tubing, and snowmobiling. Centrally located at 18 Robert A. Easter Way, behind the Sugar River Technical School, Arrowhead will be open for winter activities Friday 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., plus extended daytime hours during school breaks. Your cost will vary, depending on what you do and how much equipment you rent, but plan on $5 to $14.
