Danbury — tucked between Andover, Wilmot and Hill — may seem like just a base to a ski mountain and resort. But the residents are wonderful, offering historical society events, blueberry picking, cookie making classes and other activities year round. Whether you’re relocating, visiting or just passing through, they’ll do their best to welcome you.

  • Huntoon Farm offers fresh baked goods, naturally raised beef, pork and seasonal produce through at their farmstand in July and August.
  • The Danbury General Store offers snacks, sandwiches and meals-to-go. Be sure to try one of the homemade baked goods on the counter in a basket.

NEW! Is cabin fever setting in? Do you need to get out of the house? Try Family Bingo Nights at the Danbury Community Center on 15 High Street. Usually held the second Friday of each month, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., this might be just the break you need. Spend time with your family playing a fun game, and win prizes – gift certificates to local businesses for the adults, toys for the kids. Check the web site at www.dccnh.com for exact dates and times.

A cozy lodge at Ragged Mountain Resort offers several dining options. If you’re in the area for lunch, stop in for fresh wood fired pie at Off Piste Pizza.
