Newbury is not just a summer town; residents are busy all year long contributing to (and improving) their community. A new playground, an annual farmers’ market, The Fells land conservation and a restored meetinghouse are just a few of the gems of this town with no downtown. From the trails of Mount Sunapee to the shores of Lake Sunapee, there’s always something fun to do in Newbury.

  • Pick up some fresh olive oil at Marzelli Deli, and don’t forget a fresh loaf of bread, a lasagna for reheating, some pastries and you’ll not only have a dinner, you’ll have to invite some friends over to help you enjoy it all!
  • Captain’s 1st Choice has a little bit of everything, including antiques, collectibles, furniture, gifts and garden ornaments.
  • Paddle sporters should check out Sunapee Outfitters for all the equipment needed to enjoy a day on the water.

NEW! Got kids? Check out the new playground next to the library on Route 103. It has everything from swings to a rock climbing wall to a train. Even if you’re not a kid, you’ll find yourself acting like one the minute you set foot on the wood shavings.

Bubba’s Bar & Grill is really yummy. Lunch (or dinner) can be enjoyed overlooking the harbor (at the front windows), at the bar with big screen television, or in a booth in the back with friends. This new restaurant is located in the Newbury Harbor Plaza, near the post office.
